Remanents of memory (8/7/86)

Remanents of memory
to fraigle to fade
ease the mind
of mine
knowing
life was given to me
to be with you;
Though taken
as days come
and go
I always look for
a rainbow
for us
even when no sun
shines through
the clouds with which
God
has shadowed this world.
And hastened is my heartbeat
without the calm
of your hand;
As your touch
may not
through you
be physical
I feel the first
and last.
And I have wept
the tears
of your own
when you could not
hoping for you
not to know
I
should be so weak.
Proclaiming a strength
given me
I
will cherish these tears;
For from my eyes
I have seen
my beginning
with no end;
As time was never said
in promise.
And you
someday
can look into
this "forever"
only me
as I am
my heart
still
yours.
