What would one give to a body (10/21/84)
What would one give to a body
that has been left with
nothing a visual eye
could see to need.
Yourself?
A lust in life?
Or a partical of each;
A teardrop;
And a smile.
Devotion in a likeness;
of whom;
or what choice.
Forfeiting a delicate love
on a single moment;
Glance back into a yesterday
that survived a tomorrow;
Remember the rainbow left
by the edge of the Sun?
Seemingly reaching from one world
to another;
Or mine to yours.
So be comforted now in a time
of beginning life.
As each day
is a beginning
And a beginning is forever
For one;
never forgets.
